I am taking the frost as a warning to HURRY UP.
When it strikes two mornings in a row I read that as
HURRY UP
HURRY UP.
The theme music speeds up and I will have to be quick to avoid being eaten by Baron von Blubba. I have some posts from day 79 through 85 ready, but can't take the time to post them right now.

I'm glad you made it to Bemidji. I hoped there was enough water at the mouth to launch there. Paddle quickly, your daylight is getting very short up here.
Kevin,
When it is so cold I wonder about you. I hope you have fast floating to a warmer clime.
Marlene (a Minnesota mom you met on the way)
PS: The newspaper in Thief River Falls (The Northern Watch) did a front page story about you. THe pictures Jessica took in Newfolden were better though..

Good luck!
Kevin called his parents on Saturday, October 25th.
He was at the Schoolcraft State Park in Minnesota. He said he's been working hard to make some distance but is again as far south as Lake Itasca and is looking forward to more progress south.
